Lesson 4Restrict an image
Objective Illustrate how to restrict images to selected users.

Restrict image to Selected Users

By default, all images are available to users. However, you can restrict the images that are available to users by setting NTFS file system permissions on an answer file. This allows you to determine which images a user can select and download. Typically, you should group users into security groups and then permit selected security groups access to specific answer files. This allows you to create different menus of images that are customized for specific business units or departments within your organization.
The following Slide Show demonstrates how to restrict operating system images:

The next lesson explores how to create a RIS startup disk.
