When considering IP address assignments, network administrators are not only interested in the utilization of the IP address space, but the type of resource each
IP address is assigned to. The IP address itself is irrelevant to the business: the resources and services associated with the IP address are what drive the business. With Infoblox IPAM admins are able to see all the pertinent meta-information related to the network resource such as hostname, device type, physical location, etc. When the same logic is applied across the enterprise, others have access to businessservice information related to the resource that is germane to their job functions.
